A recent EY report highlighted the substantial impact of this economic growth in the Centennial State; private equity backed over 220,000 jobs and generated $32.5 billion in economic value in 2020.

Spinal Stabilization Technologies, located in Westminster, was founded to develop new medical devices that help alleviate common causes of lower back pain. In 2016, the company partnered with private equity and expanded its capabilities, creating new spinal technologies and opening an additional office in Boulder. In May 2021, the company announced it had earned the CE Mark and the FDA’s “breakthrough designation” for its PerQdisc™ Nucleus Replacement System.
